How come slower racers often win against me?
The default Quick Race mode is set to Casual, which means all players on the track receive a segment length proportional to their typing speed. This allows us to keep the average race duration around 30 seconds, regardless of WPM.
Will a competitive mode ever come back?
Probably, but it's not a priority for now. To create a fair competitive mode while keeping race durations around 30 seconds, we’d have to group players by similar speed, which would result in less populated tracks. Competitive mode will likely return only once the player base has grown significantly.
