Did you know that cats meow only to humans, and not to other cats? A lot of people don't know how smart cats can actually be. In fact, some types of cats are actually smarter than some types of dogs, especially on the hunting side of things. While dogs come running when called, some cats intellectually ignore you, even if they know their name. Not only do they just ignore their name, but they also know whose voice is whose and may choose to ignore you just based on that. On top of that, cats have a large mental capacity for memory and pattern recognition. Cats always have a mental map everywhere they go. They notice when anything is not in the right place. This is also why cats can run around full speed in the dark. They learn how the sound of a bag of food means it's lunch time, and are even great at recognizing the cause and effect of human behavior. For example, a smile can mean cuddle time. They may even train humans, which may seem backwards, but it's true. Cats train their humans by learning to meow to get what they want, or learning the best times to run up to you to be pet. Cats also have cool names, such as Slimretta and Sphinx, who are both prominent cats in the Klavia community. But in my opinion, the cutest thing about cats is how they dream about their owners. They replay memories of cuddling with their favorite human or catching prey with them. It is no wonder that some biologists call cats the perfect creature.
